Hi,

first at all, let me apologize about my english. I wil try to explain our issue:

We are trying to use PGP encryption keys in order to get our sftp clients get connection to our Fortress SSH server, but it doesn't work.

I try to generate the keys from sshkeygen, also using the Local server configuration gui and the file Public Key generated doesn't have the normal formal, so the clients can't validate it.

Also I generated the public/private keys from Linux using pgp, and altough they appears be valid keys (public/private) they don't work either.

I really appreciate any kind of help.

Fernando.

Hello,

We do not generate PGP specific keys. Unfortunately, there is no standard on key generation for the ssh protocol. We follow the openssl key generation syntax, but not PGP.

You can use PGP to generate a key pair on the client, then use our one of our auto store features to store the public key on the server. This will allow the server to save the key in a syntax and location for our server.

For more help on the auto store features, see the Online Help Files, accessible by clicking the Help button of the Local Server Configuration program.
