Beeping on the client is actually more difficult than it sounds. It requires using our Advanced Console screen mode or the "Enable Application Wrap" option with Full Console screen mode and the application must beep using the system Beep call. If neither of these are possible, then the application itself must become Pragma server aware and send the beep directly to the client.

We have full documentation on how to send a beep to the client under the server help files, accessible online at http://www.pragmasys.com/Fortress/WebHelp/Fortress.htm or by clicking the Help button of the Local Server Configuration program. The beep topic can be found under Beep in the Index or by searching the help for Beep.

Hi,

I need to have client side beeping. I launch my application automatically through your software. I need to send a beep through to the client.  At this time, I am not hearing beeps at the client side. How do I make it beep?

Thank you,
Dale.
