Hello Community
I want to try the SSH Server on Windows-Xp but during installation I get an error 1609
"An error occured while applying security settings. Authenticated User is not a valid user or group"
What is that mean? Im logged in as Administrator.
Thanks

Hello,
You are seeing this error because you do not have the group Authenticated Users on the system. What version of XP are you installing on? Authenticated Users is a built in group that should exists. If it does not exists, you can temporarily create the group to complete the installation. After installation, you should check your system to see why the group does not exists.

I have a german system and meanwhile I tried to install on WinServer 2003/2008 and it always fails with that error. I also tried 32 and 64 Bit download. I guess it is a language problem.
