Am trying to SSH (from Unix) to a server running the Pragma suite and trigger off a batch file.

ssh user@server 'batchfile'

The batchfile triggers correctly and we can see all the processes complete, however the process CmdServer does not complete and remains in memory. On the client side, the SSH session also does not return.

Have tried by adding and removing 'exit' on the batch file to no effect.

The fortress server version is 5.0 Build 9 Revision 827

Thanks in advance

Hello Yogesh,

Please configure the Pragma FortressSSH server in the following way to execute your batch file upon successful logon to see if running your batch in the way described below makes any difference or not:

1. Launch Local FortressSSH Configuration manager dialog from Windows Start Menu > Pragma Server Management shortcut.

2. Under the Default user (or the user that you added), expand the user tree and select the Console Settings option.

3. In the field labeled "Startup Program", enter the name of the batch (include full path e.g. c:\temp\test.bat) and click on the Apply button.

4. Now ssh in from your Unix box and see what happens.

Should this issue persist or should you continue to run into other issues, please call our technical support number at: 512-219-7270.
