I have installed Pragma Fortess sftp on sever, accidentally I removed all users from configuration manager, and server configuration manager went in read only mode, later I tried repairing, uninstalling, but it is giving registry permission error, it is 64 bit version,

can you please help?

Hello,

You need to make sure you run the configuration program with a user with both read and write access. You also need to make sure the program and installation package are run with elevated privileges, using the "run as Administrator" option.

Hello,

The configuration will be in read-only mode if you do not have permissions to our registry hive. Using an administrative account, with elevated privileges, run regedit.exe. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PragmaSystems. Right click and choose Permissions. Grant yourself full control over the key and subkeys.

This should allow you to restore your users.

Hello,

The keys from our GUI client is not compatible with the command line client. Please use our sshkeygen tool to generate a key for the command line sftp client.

Please see www.pragmasys.com/ssh-server/topics/idh-sshkeygen.htm for details on using sshkeygen.

Hi

I am new to Pragma Client tool. What i am doing is.
1. I have pragma Client tool installed on windows 2008 R2.
2. I want to sftp to Linux Redhat server using key based auth.
3. I created the private key/pub key using the GUI tool and saved both keys on my desk top of server.
4. I tested the connection from GUI tool by adding the private key under authtication tab. I copied the pub key under Linux server user .ssh/authorized_keys file. Connection was fine and it was not asked for any password.
5. Now when i use same in command line for sftp to same server ..

sftp -i myprovatekey.ppk user@server

I got error " RSA unable to digest the key too long..." and password was asked.

Please advise what is worng here.

I used to do same in putty psftp and it always worked. Please help...
